This year is going to be very different for us during the holidays. Since i am working at the hyatt i don't get off the holidays very easily. During Thanksgiving we went to mary's house which was a lot of fun! Thanksgiving isn't really that big of a deal as a holiday for me but it was really nice to spend it around a lot of people.
Christmas is going to be interesting this year. It will be my first year where it is just me and tim. Kinda sad but because of work i guess its ok. Me and tim will be going to my house in folsom on the 26th and my family is waiting a day for me and tim to celebrate Christmas! We are very lucky!! I love Christmas and i am a little sad that i won't be able to spend more time around my family because i think the best part about Christmas is all the time leading up to Christmas. The anticipation is GREAT, as well as all of the pre-festivities!!

We got a trukey from the hyatt, yep a free turkey, i guess every year they hand them out to there employees, weird but nice. I have never cooked a turkey and i don't really want to but this year eventhough me and tim aren't even having a thanksgiving in our appartment we are going to cook a turkey. Well i should say tim is going to try and cook a turkey. It will be very interesting and i will be posting pictures, if anyone had any adivce please let us know!!
I kinda wish we had that turkey fryer that is just sitting in tim's moms garage. Do work.

Books
At my job sometimes it can kind of get boring. I just answer the phones and direct the calls, there is a lot of down time. Since we are not really allowed to go online i decided that i should start reading books. When i went home i borrowed about 17 books from my family. I have read 6, and already i have read some really good books. the first book was glass castle written by jeannette walls. It was her biography about how her family moved around a lot and her parents became homeless in new york city.
Next was from the corner of his eye written by dean koontz which was a thriller (i think that's a good category to call it but i'm not sure) it was spooky because the main bad guy was extremely evil. Then, love walked in written by marisa de los santos which was a love story of course. It made me want to have a baby. the shack written by william p. young which was a creative story about God. It was really interesting and definitely thought provoking. So far my favorite has been forgive me by amanda eyre ward. I really enjoyed this book. It talked about the history in Africa. I really enjoyed it! The book i just finished is the wednesday letters written by jason f. wright. It was a great love story mostly about a funeral but with a happy ending.
I have learned that my favorite kind of book is a book that talks about true events mixed with a fictional story. I like learning new things as i am reading, like in the book angels and demons. I also like books that are about 200-300 pages because sometimes i lose interest in books. I just have a short attention span. I have lots of books to go but i am really excited that i have the time to read these books!

Pony
I love fish! I have always had a fish to take care of since high school. One time mary and I were at wal-mart and randomly decided to buy goldfish, mine stayed alive for about 3 years! Crazy I know.
We went to Sacramento a couple weeks ago for jessica's suprise party, which was amazingly fun! I am still dreaming about cotton candy, mm I can taste it in my mouth. Um...anyway, at the party we won 2 goldfish in the game where you have to toss ping pong balls in the little bowls. Basically it's one of those games that looks a lot easier than it really is, of course. I know that's not a great description but if you have ever been to a fair or carnival you probably know what i am talking about. It is a really hard game and me and tim were throwing ping pong balls forever just seeing if we could make it in. Finally tim made one in! We didn't really care about winning the fish but who could resist a goldfish, honestly who? It was pretty fun throwing the ping pong balls and a couple minutes later i made one in and it went right into the bowl with the actual fish in it, haha. Definitely not the objective but funny none the less. Since no one really wanted the left over fish me and tim took home 3 goldfish. This is when i found out that tim has never had a fish. I was shocked because i just thought everyone has at least experience some type of fish growing up, apparently i was wrong. So the fish became tims responsibilty it is just something he should experience. I also let him name the fish. He named them Sweet Moves, Hot Shot, and Pony. Odd names i know but he really wanted to name them all Pony so these are a step up. About three days after we brought the fish home Pony died. So we now have two fish and i think they are making tim wish he had a dog. Oh well.
